They stopped doing this recently. I have not heard of any plans to go back to doing this but maybe someone else has better information.

@blackberry.net email addresses can not exist without bis it was something setup to reside only on the Handhelds of legacy. Since bis is no longer used on BlackBerry 10 it will not come back.

The day BlackBerry 10 came to launch they declared BlackBerry.net email end of life.

I saw this coming well before BlackBerry 10 was launched had a lot of internal info working there.

With BlackBerry partitioning into devices, enterprise, messaging and software...I think an exclusive email component and a BBM Component may work on notebooks...after all, it could run by PINS logins and passwords...once you have a device pin, it could be used to access email and bbm on BlackBerry website...just my thoughts...

Just curious what features are worth paying an annual fee?

Crackberry already has this feature where you can have a Crackberry email, such as my [email protected]. It really is only a forwarding option to another email. Ihave mine going to a yahoo account where I can also choose what email shows when being sent. That way I receive and can send email from my Crackberry email.

@BlackBerry.com email addresses are reserved for employees. You might be looking for for @carrier.blackberry.net email addresses? They existed before, but no web interface (other than settings), the device served as your mailbox.

I would think it would be cost prohibitive for BlackBerry to offer this at this time.

Also for the record, I can still log into the webpage for setup but it gives an error on BB10 devices lol

Email can only be set up from this web page for BlackBerry devices running BlackBerry OS version 7.1 or earlier. The PIN and IMEI numbers that you have typed belong to a device running BlackBerry 10 OS software. Your email accounts can be easily set up directly on your BlackBerry 10 device by pulling down from the top of the screen, tapping Settings > Accounts > Add Account. For more information, visit www.blackberry.com/blackberry10setup.

That's correct. All members have an @crackberry.com email alias.

Not going to happen since it's reserved for employees. However, @bbm.com is more plausible.

All good comments and thoughts...at times I think and believe the BlackBerry website could be so much more...almost like a homepage if it was set up for variety of content...it would be so cool to bbm from the notebook and have exclusive BlackBerry email addys for the bb10 devices...to be used on computer also...

Don't you mean @carrier.blackberry.com? The ones you got with BIS?

@blackberry.com addresses are for employees only.
