There is no native editor in the production versions, but you can use Media > Explore to view TXT and HTM documents saved to the media card.

Rumor has it that once 4.5 is out, there will be a BB version of DocsToGo, which will allow editing. You can use eOffice but it's rather pricey ($99.00 US).
