I'm pretty good. Only one fall. No damage.
When I have my BB in hand I have a death grip on it. Even if I do eventually drop it it's well protected by a 2 piece hard rubber/plastic case.
Dropped once after drinking too much. That too on the road. I normally put the BB in the driver's seat side pocket. Dropped it while getting in the car.
In other words, you were getting behind the wheel while loaded...watch yourself Sam.

I have maybe dropped a phone once in 5 years. I am very aware that I am holding a few hundred dollars worth of equiptment.

Many falls, very little damage (scratches) and no case.
Most falls are only a foot or two though (that's how high my kid's arms are lol)
i drop mine all the time. i did the same with my Nokia 5185i (which only popped the battery off requiring tape the rest of its life) and no i do not use a protective case (there ain't none where i live unless you have Android or iPhone) and so far not even a scratch. it was how i found out about durability which i like since it beats the Nokia--the only other durable phone i had.
one night i got angry and it would not get a signal and i couldn't update the PRL list to fix it and i SLAMMED it's back on the desk and it went into a reboot loop (hourglass, BlackBerry graph, carrier logo and big horizontal line flash and repeat) and two battery pulls later it worked again. i learned never to get angry like that again! scared me!
I dropped mine again today at Kroger and the battery fell out. At least it went together without duct tape!

If you can't see the CB poll result bar chart...the results have shifted from the early returns...
31% dropped 2-5 times their phone in the last year,
27% never dropped,
25% dropped their phone 1-2 times,
12% dropped over 5 times
...with over 96% reporting NO DAMAGE to the phone ( DURABLE !)
...and about half use a protective case (down from earlier results).

In the past year I think I've probably dropped my phone close to 50 times and my phones not that damaged but the ball doesn't move as smoothly as it used to.
I have dropped my BB more times than I can count, including onto parking lots and have had nothing worse than a few scratches (and usually the battery flying out under a car, forcing me to crawl around on the ground after it).
One of my users sent me the BB 9930 in the attached pic. He dropped it on the sidewalk... I'm holding a memorial service.....
It is amazing - maybe not - that less than 3% of responders reported damage to their BB smartphone from drops. And there were LOTS of drops reported. That's great news for those who need dependability (who doesn't?)

Mine fell a few times but no damage because of the height it usually falls from and the otter box case I have :D
Dropped probably 5-6 times. Only scratches, nothing else damaged. I keep it naked. My Torch is a durable sucker!
Naked Torch, got slung every which way at full throwing power. Aside from scratches and a dodgy slider, the thing worked like a charm! That thing was a f*cking tank!
I was typing an email when I dropped my 8900 and when I went to pick it up and it had turned off and felt really light. I turned it around and saw the battery door was still securely attached. I took off the battery door and found that my battery was missing, it was quite an amazing. I found the battery a couple of minutes later under the desk about 3feet away.
I'm not quite sure what happened but I theorize that when it fell the battery door popped open, the battery flew under the table and the device fell onto the battery door and it snapped shut. It all happened so quickly that I did not notice.
There wasn't a single scratch on the device.

24% never dropped
22% dropped their phone once
20% dropped over 5 times in year
...with 94+% reporting NO DAMAGE to the phone ( DURABLE - wow !)
...45% use a protective case, and 55% naked.

I'm in the 2-5 times category! I've managed to chip the bezel twice on the left of the screen, wouldn't be that noticeable if the phone wasn't white! It really bugged me at first but not anymore, I guess I'm used to it being like it now.

Bold 9000 - 2-5 times in 2 years.
Small drops, often soften with an habile foot control.
No pouch, no case, no armor, no damages.
