The BlackBerry does not have the ability to OPEN PDF files natively. You need a third party application for that functionality. There are several of them. BeamReader, Documents to Go Premium, RepliGo, eOffice (as noted above), etc.
You can, however, VIEW a PDF file as an attachment to an email message. The message application will "convert" it to an image (or set of images) for viewing.
