Don't like my OS, how to upgrade?
- I have a blackberry 9350 curve.
Im on a newtwork called KODOO, in Canada for those of you that don't know.
This network operated off of Telus.
Anyway - I have system 6.0 or firmware you would call it - loaded from factory. Blackberry update will not allow the newer version to be loaded, because the company that sells my device has not released new firmware yet.
So - how can I get the newest firmware with the FM radio?
Is there any software that is generic and "unlocked".
Thanks.04-21-12 10:44 AMLike 0 - Hal2000,
The upgrade process is a bit complex in steps, but rather easy thanks to the aid of CrackBerry
Check this blog post out for a nice how to on loading a new os http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...ting-system-os and http://www.crackberry.com/blackberry...ting-system-os will also help.
You will want to remember to remove the vendor.xml files from the OS you download (http://crackberry.com/updating-your-...h-vendor-files)
And lastly, be sure to check out the Curve forums for more information on available downloads, and others thoughts on the various versions. http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...360-9350-f237/
Can you double check that you have a 9350 or an 8530? 9350 should run OS 7.1 now.04-21-12 11:07 AMLike 0 - Hal2000,
