Would you care for the size of the phone, if it is fully loaded and all your requirements are satisfied?

Go back to the first cell phones, size matters. I do not like carrying around a small lunch pail everywhere I go.

    yes...

to appease to the audience my remark will be

"not to big but not to small"

I like a nice size screen and a good keyboard... so size definetly matters..

Yes it matters. The storm is decent, but a phone the size of the bold is outrages. Lol

I personally don't like small phones. Can barely stand my curves. Perfect for me would be a 7290 series with bold options. Bigger is better lol.

    Uneqivocally, yes!

I would prefer a bigger phone than my 8900-more surface area, not thickness.

The sleekness makes it easily pocketable, but the keyboard is too small to type on with anything but my thumbnails

I think the main reason I frown on the pearl is the limited suretype..

I mean I understand suretype is advanced for quick entry on a non full qwerty but I find that sometimes I just can't get it to type what I want it to. I use it often on the storm but things like web addresses and such grrr...

Yes....If I have to carry it or put it on my belt, I'm not so interested in what it can do.

And PUNT!. AG, do you prefer your pearl over your bold? I'm curious because I played with both the bold and new curve. Didnt really like the 8900 curve.

I just got the Bold yesterday. In terms of overall device, The Bold, hands down.
In terms of size, Pearl wins.

OK, thanks. The pearl was too small for me. I am thinking of replacing our three curves and the 8700 with Bolds so I want to be positive before I drop that kind of cash.

If it got bigger than the Bold, it doesn't suit me at all. I'd like to get myself an 8900 though.

I've got a couple deal options I can do. Mommy(wife) doesnt like her curve and wants to go back to her 8700. So somewhere in the upgrade mix Ill wind up with an extra 8900. If it goes as planned Ill pm you and give it to you forever29

I had the Bold. It was waaaay too big for me. I couldn't type up a simple email without my hands starting to cramp because I had to reach further across the keyboard. Since 3G wasn't a factor for me, I switched to the 8900 and am loving every minute of it.

The perfect sized BlackBerry for me was my 8700. It just feels right... size, heft, keyboard. I'm using a Curve though, for the increased functionality. But I'll be damned if I don't long for my 8700 (which sits in its original box, waiting for an emergency.)

Like all discussions about size, its a matter of personal preference. Some like big screens, others like small pocket phones. Its all in what you want.

Agreed. I have been using a Pearl for about 2 1/2 years up until last week when I picked up an 8900. The 8900 is only .36" wider than the Pearl. It carries very nice in a holster. I love everything about the 8900...high res screen, new OS, camera, etc and I am finally getting used to the full QWERTY keyboard with the small keys. I am hearing rumors of a new 3G Pearl. Now, that I can handle

It feels nice to have a small phone, I love my Pearl, it does everything the big guys do and it's smaller.
