After several weeks of heavy bb abuse, I wipe it clean and reinstall everything (apps, that is). Does repeated wiping of memory cause harm to the os over time? I'm running .148 (cuz leakers have gone silent!)

That's a waste of time. I'm not sure how much harmit would cause, but I know I can't be good to do it frequently. Do your reinstall windows or osx every few weeks? Not much piositive would come out of this. Doing it once to fix a problem is one thing but doing it just to do it is stupid.

Don't think you need to do it that often unless your BB is running slow.

Keep having problems (lock-ups, snail's pace loading of pages in browser + apps, error messages). Not the leaked version of .148, but the vzw one. Wipe and reinstall of apps fixes it for a few weeks. Is there maybe a hardware issue?

Nothing wrong with keeping your crack clean. I highly recommend it, actually.

It wouldn't hurt if you keep having recurring issues.

P.S. There's no difference between the official .148 and leaked .148.

Thanks for the guidance. I'll give it a go. Reinstalling .148 will at least let me experience fond memories of cracking open a fresh, piping hot leak for the 9530.

I just waited for this because I knew someone would do it. I didn't have to wait long.

It's not the OS that's (possibly) already installed on your computer right? If so, download a fresh copy...
