I just got my bb 9780, and it seems as if it had some kind of lag while scrolling in home menu. I haven't synchronized my music yet, and it still seems like lagging a little. I have the 1.8 g memory card, is it somehow lagging the phone?... cause its supposed to have 512 mb of ram...
No the SDcard doesn't have anything to do with you RAM memory, the only thing you have to be concern of you SD card is what level it is as lover the lvl as fast the processing, for example and SDc of lvl 4 is processing and saving you pictures to SD much slower then a SDc lvl 2.
So in your case it will lag a bit you phone till it read all the data after reset/reboot from SDc but after that it shouldn't lag cause of you Music,Pictures,Video or document you have in to you SDc

Hmmm if they have their ringtones and wallpapers coming from the memory card could that in fact effect regular use performance? (I am not having this problem just playing devils advocate).
