    Thought i'd ask because if i switch my data services in mobile network to off when i'm connect to WIFI and i go into 'services status' in manage connections, it says "Blackberry Internet Service: NOT CONNECTED" but when i switch data services to on it says its connected via WIFI. If i switch WIFI off, in services status it says "connection: MOBILE NETWORK".

    Thanks for your response.

    Just confirming, this will definately not use any mobile data though will it? Reason being is i'm from Australia and travelling to the US in 2 weeks for a month and would rather find WIFI hotspots to check emails on the go etc. than pay enormus rates.

    as long as you have ur default browser set to 'hotspot browser' ur BB will use wifi over 3G.

    and put data acces 'off in roaming'... and it will works with hotsposts only
