Change them how?

Press the column you'd like to change, you'll than see a little tab, press and hold till you feel the vibrate, than extend as needed.
Hope this helps.

Initially what you may see. Make sure you are not in "cell edit" mode where you type in text.

Click the column you want to stretch by clicking it's letter.

Hold down on the graphic that appears just to the left of the column letter until but vibrates.
DO NOT TAKE FINGER OFF SCREEN AFTER IT VIBRATES. Keep your finger on screen in the same spot it was when you got the vibration.
After it vibrates (with your finger still on screen), start dragging the column width.

When you get to your desired width, you can take your finger off the screen.

I don't think you can, I have to keep changing them on the desktop. I've tried. I cant even change the sheet names.
The column letters facilitate formulas and mathematical equations in the spreadsheet. If you could change them your formulas would be a nightmare. Use the first line of cells for your titles. That's a pretty basic rule of spreadsheets in effect since the Lotus123 days.

Not even in excel would it be advisable to do this. As someone said, formulas and references would-be F'd

Yup.
I've used Excel extensively for years and have never changed the letters. You use the first row for column headings. You can then freeze the first row so you always see the column headings mi matter how far you scroll down the sheet.

Column letters and numbers can't be changed, not even on a desktop. But thank-you for this thread! I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to resize columns. I did it by accident once and then couldn't remember what I did.
