Does anyone have experience replacing a Sim Card Socket?
- I was given a Bold 9000 that has one of the gold contacts missing on the Sim cradle/reader and would like to replace it. I ordered the part from cnn.cn and am now waiting on it and was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to remove it and solder it back on.
I could pay $40 bucks and have it done for me but I figured I would be pro-active and give it a whirl myself. I don't need the phone so I'm not really worried about messing it up but I would like to be successfull!
The phone was free so if I can fix it would be a nice gift to give a family member.
Any tips woul be appreciated. Thanks!09-02-10 11:03 AMLike 0
