Does anyone else still feel happy with their BlackBerry products?
I have a BlackBerry Bold 9900 (for about one year now, and it still feels new!) and a PlayBook.
While I want BlackBerry to do well with its new products and OS10 software, I am still completely satisfied with my 9900. I still even have a use for the PlayBook because it will natively play Channel4 on Demand and the only other tablet that will do it is the iPad, which I will never buy - overpriced, overrated! :P
The PlayBook also has a nice RSS reader ... now frequently, it is true, the Adobe components used by the BlackBerry News and the Flash Player leak memory and the performance is bad, but often it's as simple as closing all open apps and reopening them and it will work better ... and after all I got my PlayBook for a knockdown price ;) The Bridge is useful too of course ...
And what's more I like the news of a new BBOS device being released, not particularly because I will buy it, but because it's evidence that BlackBerry still have commitment to BBOS - which is what I want to continue using for at least another year, along with BIS. :)
I was hoping for BB10 on PlayBook but if it means bad performance, i.e. even worse than the PlayBook already is, then why bother ... as long as they commit to supporting their phones ... and who says they won't? The Curve 8530 is still being sold and even BBOS 5 still gets occasional updates!
I still love my BlackBerry and have zero desire to switch to a Galaxy or any other 'quad-core, 4GB RAM, Gorilla glass' gadget ... maybe I feel this way because I don't own stock in BlackBerry, I just enjoy using my devices. ;)
