    i don't use the service indicator b/c the constant flashing would drive me nuts, but i do use BerryBuzz to alert me when i DON'T have service

    never used it. if i dont have service the lack of the signal bar will show me. yes the light tells you before you grab the device...but i'm pretty quick at grabbin it. Quick Draw McGraw ain't got NUTHIN on me! (dang, I dated myself!)

    Haven't used it. I figure the only time I might turn it on is if I'll be spending some time in a weak coverage area but even then still might just rely on the bars or signal strength indicator number.

    i think if it can enabled out the box we will see more people with it on because then its like a feature and ur used to it. But with it disabled, once enabled and you are only used to seeing LED blinks for messages then I see how it can be annoying.

    I use mines. I have berrybuzz to distinguish the diff between work email/texts and personal email/text; I like to know if I should press ignore or reply prior to looking @ my phone. Seems to work very well for my needs.

    I think some folks are mistaking the LED message indication for the LED service/roam indication... I believe the question was do you have the service indication on and wasn't asking whether you use the LED for message notifications...
