Much like hippy-style pony tail I had in high school....I got rid of it and never regretted doing so

bb maps is slow and less accurate than google map. bb map is slow in displaying map and it has fewer details compare to google map

I only use google maps too but I still have BB maps on my phone. Maybe it's time to go delete it and free up some space. I can always add it back thru DM right?

In my opinion, BB maps is nothing in comparison to Google maps. I've actually thought of taking it off my BB to free up more memory.

I can't see your device on WAP, but if you're an AT&T user, then you'll have to edit your OS load to enable the program. Search for a link to John Clark's Memory Optimization Thread. Reed McLay doesn't address it. The work-around does not work for OS 4.5.

I had google maps when I was using a 7100 and was using both when I got my 8820. I liked using google maps for an overview and bb maps for directions as its integrates with the address book and I like its navigation system.

I recently deleted google as having 2 programs wasn't making sense and eating a lot of memory with the downloaded maps from both. But I did miss google and re added it with the new version. There is good about both when using them.

That's kinda weird that it doesn't have the icon, but still does have the program installed. I guess AT&T just wants you to use their AT&T Navigator service, which I don't want to, a waste of money when there's equivalent programs for free.
