I'm going to answer this with a question.

Do you think celebrities dump their phones because the
see so many non-celebrities using what they have?

worker with one, 2 cops had Curves and two employees at
Carls Jr had Bolds. If I knew "poor people" were buying these
I'd have never got one.

They don't care what we use. I could not care less what a
"celebrity" uses. I buy what works for me.

I bought my first Blackberry because I saw AG using one in a picture.

I don't think the appeal of BB's is that celebrities use them, at least for me that's not the case. I love them because of how smooth the OS is, the great push email, and just everything else. I would go on and on about what's so great about them, but I'm sure you all already know.

I got my berry because it what the company I work for gave me. The 8700g was the first but I got the bold because it was the best berry out(and still is) at the time. Would not trade it for the world.

Celebs has nothing at all to do with it and I do not believe in the what's hot factor because it is always something simple that people take advantage of and charge way to much for. Just my 0.02 cents.

Haha same reason for me getting one too. Just kidding, I do agree with AG though. I didn't get a blackberry because I've seen celebrities with them but because I needed a device I could check email with and do the things it does that helps me in my everyday life.

Absolutely not. I could gve a $h!t what phone a celeb is using. Anyone who does feel that way is clearly a little 'thick.' This thread would better be directed to the sheeple who hopped on the iPhone bandwagon to be one of the 'cool' apple-crowd.

Who cares if celebs use or any "type" of people use BBs. The appeal is to what features and uses each individual wants and needs. Mine as well as over a million others here happen to be a BB!

Nah, celebrities had no effect on my decision. My supevisor had a "hulking" blue blackberry that was passed down to me. Loved it - even with a cracked screen, from there> 8300> Pearl> 8310> BOLD. Besides, my BOLD and I look good together

But I will admit that sometimes when I'm out and about with my BB and a Starbucks beverage in hand and wearing sunglasses, I kind of like pretending that I am a celebrity. Just to amuse myself though

When I had my bold and saw pics of barack obama with the same phone as me, I felt like the bomb!!

That would be reason enough for me to stop using a blackberry. Believe me if I had an 8830 that thing would be on the bottom of the Chesepeake Bay twenty seconds ago.

To be honest, I got my 8310 because my at the time girlfriend was with me, and I went over to look at it and she told me that I didn't need one of those. That's the truth as to why I got my first black berry.

I got my Pearl cos I wanted to see what the BB hype was about without paying up for a higher end BB only to find I don't need it. Now I'm hooked!

Honestly, most celebrities aren't very bright so if anything I'd avoid using something of theirs unless I knew it was good.

I bought my 1st BB as a mobile phone that happened to have email capability. Then with unlimited browsing I have what I wanted, freedom & variety of use. The product sold itself to me. I Don't give a flying fig about celebrities.
