I've had my Passport for almost a month now and I've yet to see my battery level fall below 50%. Changed days from my Z10!

Apparently for the majority of Passport owners the answer is yes you really do get that long battery life on the Passport.

I easily get day and a half with my passport, love the battery, best BlackBerry to date close second is the Z30 that's one sick *** phone minus the screen unfortunately.

I'm getting 1 day 5 hours according the phone. I do know that Skype does gobble up battery. With a few videos calls, it seems to get warm and draw a good amount of battery.

From my experience, I can easily get 1.5-2 days of normal moderate use. I don't Skype, just primarily for email, web, doc reading, bbm, tethering to my laptop about an hour some days. I don't do FB, Instagram or other social media stuff. Each day I have anywhere between 45-65% remaining.

On light usage I can get into the 3rd day no problem.

Where I am, LTE signal is abundant throughout the day. Otherwise it drops to H+ with strong signal strength...3-4 bars mostly. I wonder if your moderate signal quality and the intensiveness with which you use your device (like Skype video) is the culprit. Hard to say since we hardly experience 2G signal here. Does the phone work that much harder when in non LTE or 4G areas? Do you keep wifi and other apps running when not necessary? Android apps in particular?

Sometimes I go over 2 days (light user) and forget all about charging, and I'm still in the 20% range.

I doubt there is any other smartphone that can match the passports battery. I throw everything at my passport and it lasts all day. I'm surprised at what I can do. My iphone wouldn't last a third of a day if I used it like my passport. No more do I have to worry about needed to charge my phone. My iphone6 which I had for a week and a bit was garbage compared to the passport but the battery might of improved if I kept it.
