I leave in the morning my home around 7am, my passport is fully charged. I make calls, I emails, respond to texts, check docs in attachments, navigate a bit, and by the afternoon the led warning kicks in at 20% battery.

    Am I alone with this?

I see myself keeping the passport on the charger as long as possible, so I have a fully charged phone for the rest of the time.

So I don't get that super long battery life yet. It's not short, but doesn't get me through the day.

    == Update 11 Jan 2015 ==
    I had a casual Sunday, I did:
    • e-mailing / whatsapp / calendar / text messages
    • word document editing (the attachments), pdf reading
    • CB forums via the dedicated app and browser
    • 1h Skype call with video over wifi with a friend (~ 10:00-11:00 am)
    • 30 min Skype audio call via wifi for another friend (~ 11:45-12:15)
    • 30 min. GSM call with other friends spread out the day
    • 10 minutes Duolingo
    • made a few pictures, screenshots

I removed the phone from the charger at 08:20.
The battery was blinking around 16:20 or before.
    This is about 10h use.
I would need the phone for another 8h, so altogether 18h.

Do you see something exceptional in the charts?

I see the Display used the most energy, but this is a huge display with large resolution, so I suppose it consumes a lot of power. PIM is again showing a lot of use, and Skype. These all correspond to my typical daily usage.

    Thanks for your help!

Here are my device monitor screenshots, as requested:

I do not think that is the average experience. I use mine for similar use and it lasts till late evening.

Check your device monitor to see what is causing the drain. Also do a reboot, or a reset. Some Android apps will continue to run after closing and cause battery issues.

I get around 10 hrs day, mid to heavy use, but what kills my battery at work is the weak signal bouncing from EDGE al the way to LTE.

OP how's your network signal situation?

I have to agree it's probably a signal thing. If I have good signal... with extremely heavy use... hour or more talk time, send over 100 emails. Use browser and a couple apps... I definitely get over 12 hours.
Weak signal can kill any phone battery, especially on LTE

It took about 4 days for my battery to settle in. I'm getting right around 2 full days of battery right now, which is awesome!

I text and email a ton but don't use any kind of social apps. I do however also read a lot on the forums.

I unplugged my Passport this morning at 6:30, used the phone all day even used the FM radio for a couple of hours during my ride, and it's now 8:40 pm and my battery is at 75%. This thing rocks!

I've always had good luck with battery's. I am very anal about my apps, wifi, and bluetooth being on/off, so this might help?

This has been discussed elsewhere, but I get about ten to twelve hours of massive abuse with apps open, bluetooth, wifi, heavy browsing with over fifty browser tabs always open, CrackBerry, phone app open, contacts open, emails, photos, sharing, TXTs/SMS, BBM etc.

    Brightness currently at 40%... :-)
If you don't need it, dim it a litte, helps a lot!

I suppose it depends on your definition of "heavy" I will get about 12 -14 hours with what i consider extremely heavy use

Ok, so you get the same thing, I also get approx 10-12 hours, not more.

As I start at 7am, at 17pm my Passport is often empty, but at 19 it usually is really at zero. My problem is that I often can recharge only later then that. I was hoping it can last from waking up until going to bed, which is 16-18 hours depending on the day.

I can easly talk 2-3h on a day on my phone.

I only use the built in apps,, and some native BlackBerry apps, android apps were all so poorly performing that I gradually abandoned all of them.

I use my phone all day long and still have about 50% left by the end of the day. Knowing that I have plenty of battery left near the end of day, I spend an hour playing Candy Crush which uses a lot of battery juice.

Absolute love the battery life on this phone. I never have the need to charge my phone during the days at all. While my iPhone and Samsung friends keep plugging their phones in every minute they are close to a wall. This is why I'm not jealous of iPhones or Samsung phones at all.

Yes. 2 days for me during "normal" use. When I am off or the weekends I get longer.

Love not having to plug in all the time.

The 6plus battery life is about the same as the Passport, although I would give a very slight edge to the Passport by a few minutes.

I work from my house so I'm always on wifi. I have never had to charge it mid day. Lasts from about 6:30am to 11pm easily with most days having 30% or more left. Even with heavy usage.

I think that's mostly ios way and efficiency in terms of how it does it. No way they keep thing and not too big and still have same battery size

After a full day of average use I have about 50% left. That's from 7 am until 11 pm. I put it on the charger every night just out of habit.

My battery lasts WAY longer than my son's iPhone 6!

I'm a moderate user of my device. Corporate (BES) connected email, two gmail accounts, facebook, twitter, linkedin, BBM, instagram and a flurry of various apps which I use through the day.

My average battery life, according to Device Monitor is 1 day, 16 hours (30 hours) on a single charge.

If you're struggling to make it to the afternoon, I suggest you look at what's chewing up your CPU cycles in Device Monitor. Either you're the world's heaviest smartphone user, or something is draining the battery abnormally.
