Do you really care about flash??
- Nope, not really i will most likely turn it off if there is an option. I had Flash on my HTC Dual Touch Pro (HTC Touch Dual (Unlocked) Smartphone reviews - CNET Reviews) when i downloaded and ran Skyfire. It completely KILLED my battery, and i don't think people will see that.
I would lay 100$ bucks down that after RIM releases Flash to their device. The next complaint will be "my battery sucks"....
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com02-17-10 07:26 AMLike 0 - I don't see flash coming to blackberry. Its a security risk.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com02-17-10 07:35 AMLike 0 - I don't like it but increasingly, you can't browse many business sites because they use Flash even where it shouldn't have been used.
I install a pile of browsers on my desktop machines and block flash on all but one, so if morons design their website with flash, and I have to use it for ecommerce, etc. I have a way to do so.
Down with flash, waste of bandwidth, security exposure, etc. Just say NO.
Gimme HTML and PHP anytime LOL02-17-10 07:38 AMLike 0 - I'm a photographer and a lot of photography sites are based on Flash to give images a little bit of protection (not much, but a little bit). From what I have seen, HTML5 hasn't addressed securing images. Although most photographers want to open up their websites to mobile viewers, they want images protected without just posting them into a video.02-17-10 09:53 AMLike 0

- Currently my phone does everything I do on it so flash is a not big deal to me .I will use a normal computer if I need to do more then what I do now .So while its not really a big deal to me I still see why others might like it guess thats not alot I can do about it if RIM adds it into the OS though. but personally I dont need it .02-17-10 01:39 PMLike 0
- Yes I care about flash so I can watch video on flash site like hulu.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com02-17-10 02:18 PMLike 0 - True, but that is why I said little protection. Most common users don't know to do screen captures, and there can be notices, watermarks, and such added to flash to help with awareness.02-17-10 05:54 PMLike 0
- amazinglygracelessRetired ModI'm just going to say it. I suspect 95% of the people screaming for Flash
on the BB are people who wish they could view porn on the go. Plain and simple.02-17-10 06:00 PMLike 0 - Yeah let's be real about it. That's pretty much the driving force in all of this
flash talk. Porn.

- I prefer a desktop like browsing experience... So I guess I do care about flash.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com02-17-10 06:43 PMLike 0 - If I had flash I could play Farkle on facebook!!!!!!!

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com02-18-10 01:32 AMLike 0 - Flash would be great but I would prefer sites built for the BB browser, just as many sites have iPhone specific versions.02-18-10 08:28 AMLike 0
- For people who take online classes, flash would be great for most online courses, which don't work without flash.02-18-10 08:31 AMLike 0

- No I dont really care about flash. There are times when it would be nice because webmasters use it for required navitation components of their site, but those webmastes really should be using web standards and making HTML equivelents.
And look at the bright side of not having flash -- not having those annoying flash banner adds lol03-03-10 05:39 AMLike 0 - I believe that there is a great blurring and melding between devices. Whether it's a laptop where you can make phone calls or smartphones that act like mini laptops, the two devices are coming (or have come!) together as one.
I got a notebook that is small, light, has a webcam, and I immediately loaded Skype on it. I have a smartphone that currently provides me with an approximation of the web experience. I want that experience to be complete.
Yes, developers hate Flash - my teams groan. Yes, HTML5 is coming but not yet here. RIM has opened itself to the consumer market and right now it gives the impression of being behind, weak, *in that market.* With other platforms already giving the consumer a closer experience to full web, it's in RIM's best interest to offer what that market is looking for - at the very least in one or two of its lines.
RIM entered the consumer market and must remain agile if it intends to avoid being seen as the curmudgeon of the smartphone market.
Oh yah....I want Flash so I can access everything on the web.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com03-03-10 06:48 AMLike 0 - In this day and age I am greatly disappointed that these phones do not have Flash
along with all the other goodies.
Instead they will run us down the road of "trade your phone in for the newest"
instead of using tech that has been out for years and applying it to phones.
Just a way to get your $$$.
PC's blazed the way for this so we should not have to go down that road again for what is basically a small PC.
Tim03-03-10 07:12 AMLike 0 - I'm not going to tell a lie, I can't wait until flash comes. I would like to see what the web looks like with flash support. It should make mobile browsing very enjoyable.
