I have mine on all the time so that I can use apps like "SuperPages Mobile". I do not notice any battery drain difference between it being turned on and off.

thanks for the input on this you guys...
I'm turning my GPS back on, b/c:
    1) I have great battery life as it is, I'm one of the lucky ones who can get more than 2 days on a charge...
    2) I like to use the Poynt business & movie locator app and it works WAY better when you have the GPS as the basis for search, as opposed to using a zip code.

It makes no difference on battery life to leave it on. The only time it sends and receives info for the gps is when you utilize an app that requests the info. I got rid of Weatherbug due to it's constant requesting of info (i am aware I could change that in the settings). Now the only time it uses the gps, which I leave on all the time, is when I use Google maps or Where or what have you.

I leave it off, it uses App memory. Not that I have a problem with App memory I start out over 50 mb but still if I need it I'll turn it on.

I leave it on all the time, but it's only used when I pull up Google Maps.

I leave the Locator turned on and haven't experienced anything that would make me thing otherwise.
