i set mine to delete after 2 months. but believe it or not some texts have sentimental value...so i put those in saved messages.

I only have a few saved but I open them up every now and then and either laugh or smile.

you can't set it to a certain #, just a certain amount of time...

Open messages, go to options>general settings>scroll down to "Kepp Messages" and change the option there
