By now most of you may know, youtube started streaming HQ videos to Blackberrys (like they do to the iPhone and Android devices). On every other device of mine, the videos from youtube buffer. On my Storm2, it's as if the videos are being streamed and then my phone forgets they were ever there and i must load them again to move throughout a video. Only once have i seen a green bar go ahead of the blue progress bar and i run on an extremely fast wifi connection so i know it must have been a glitch.

So do Blackberrys buffer videos in the media player? Or is it more like a stream so that pausing won't make the video smoother?

They buffer for the stream, but they won't store the video locally so that it doesn't have to stream it again if you play it again. One of the pitfalls of the Media Player/BB Platform currently. Wish it was different, but I'm guessing it doesn't store or cache that much info locally due to memory limitations.
