    Hello everyone,
a friend of mine want to buy a BB in China. The sales guy on the website told her that there is a connectivity difference between some devices from Hong Kong, France and Canada.
He told her that some devices cannot be used with a BIS or BES data plan and other can be used.
I have never heared about that before, so I don't believe it's true. The device which is supposed to handle BIS/BES costs 1/3 more than the others.

Have you ever heared such a thing? Thanks a lot.

Yeah, Hong Kong has been a fine producer of many fakes over the years.. Including such wonders as the HiFone, and PolyStation 2 among others...

It's probably your typical dual-SIM imitation with a semi-functional OS.. As for BIS/BES, I'm pretty certain it'll just use standard APN... You can forget about it supporting propietary RIM protocols.
