Am just about to buy my Blackberry (Curve 8320)! But read somewhere that you can't tell whether it's a text or an email coming through, and it just says 'message'. Is there any way you can set a different ring tone or volume for texts as opposed to emails? I like to check for texts regularly but don't want to check all the time as emails come through! Any advice much appreciated.

Yes you can set different tones. You can also separate
your text messages from your emails so they show up
    in their own message folders

Thanks so much - you hear so much bollocks about what problems people have had! Just wish I could get right tariff for right handset! Want O2 tariff (UK) but it doesn't work in my area. Vodafone tariff next best - but no wi fi handset and no Edge. Only leaves Orange - OK signal and wi fi handset but lousy tariffs!

That's how I have mine set up different ringtones for different e-mail addresses, bb messenger, and sms mms messages. When I open a sms or mms it looks different than e-mails. Also it says its from a mobile
