So I was in the store and I was 100% sure that I could handle the Z10 for 2 years! And now I just see bad reviews and how there won't be a native app for Instagram ( all those big apps) and I could of had the chance to get the S4

Do you guys think I made a right choice?

I think you're the only one who can answer that sir.
I love mine. As much as I hope (and think) that the likes of Instagram will come for the good of the platform, I don't use apps like that.
I'm very happy with my Z10, it's an excellent device.

I came from an iPhone 4 to the Z10, and I personally love it. You will notice an app gap, but it's not terrible. I was also worried about not having Instagram but I sideloaded it, and it works great! Give the Z10 two weeks, and you'll be sold!

as far as Instagram is concerned, side load it. If I can do it anyone can......

Honestly, no I don't. Just looking at your thread history it seems to me that there is possibly no right choice for you.

If you needed all the big name apps, no, you did not make the right choice. This was a known thing and could have easily been avoided.

Get the Nexus 7 and use your Z10 as a hotspot.

No. You should have chosen the word "have" instead.

If you are one of those guys who is a huge app user, you probably did make the wrong choice. If you want to sit it out for now and side load (which is easy to do) while the ecosystem matures, that is your choice.

I guess it really depends on if side loading missing apps is a no go for you.
I never really used instagram before so having the sideloaded version works just great for me and having the option to load almost any android app is pretty sweet good luck hope your happy with your choice.

You made the right choice, take it from someone who left BB for iOS and came back. Z10 FTW.

All I can say is use whatever works for you. Others cannot decide which choice is "right" for you. Everyone has different preferences and needs. So don't worry about what others think. If you feel good about your purchase, then keep it. If not, get something else. Since you have to use it, you choose how the money is spent.

If you want to be different and try a "different" paradigm for a mobile OS... you chose wisely.

Outside of that, I do not think you choose wise if you want a feature filled phone and OS.... You have to be willing to give up alot of function in order to give BB10 a try.. some people think it is worth it... some don't but you have to decide how much you need out of your smartphone... if you do not need much but the basics... and have no problem learning a different OS... stick with the Z10...

I think the right choice is the phone that ultimately fulfils all your needs right now. and that's not something that someone that doesn't know you can tell you which to use.

You refer to the bad reviews you have seen, and the lack of apps. For the latter, sideload. Once the new Android runtime is released in newer OS updates, most Android apps will likely run buttery smooth. The first part of your post puzzles me: you do not refer to having any bad experiences with your phone personally, but you are worried about what you read in the posts. If you are happy with your phone experience, is that not more important than the opinions of random people posting in the forums? Just asking.

I like my Z10 today here at the end of July as much as I did when I got it in late March.

Actually, I like it more now than I did then. It has only gotten better over time. Glad this was my first touch screen device.

No. Give it 4 months and the bug issues are going to drive you crazy. You won't be able to do simple things, like open the calendar app or sort your contacts .
