It seems to me that 10.3 is pure garbage. My phone (Z30) hasn't worked properly since the update. By chance? I think not! I can't even go to YouTube ap and minimize it so it plays music while I use other aps. BlackBerry is now a software company company that puts out $#:$/#/-up OS updates? Ridiculous....

No issue on any of my BB10 devices.

Use an autoloader for a fresh install, and you should be fine.

I have had no issues at all in my Z30 with 10.3.
I would agree that a clean install would be the best course if you are having major issues.

Thanks Contie, I've never used an autoloader before... It's probably easy to do but how do I do it?

Download to your PC, unzip, plug in device, and run the autoloader. That's it.

Your device will be wiped in the process - which is a good thing.

Use Ultimate Backup from BBW if you need to backup anything. Don't use Link.

Here is the Link to Thurask's archive:
    /bb10-leaked-beta-os-f395/blackberry-os-archive-943672/

Use 10.3.3.2205. You only need to download the 7z file for the Z30.

No, the intentional ruination of BB10 occurred when the Android runtime was needlessly and inexplicably fouled just following the PRIV release and not fixed until a few months later.

In fairness, 10.3.2.2876 was officially rolled out Jan 12 2016, and the patched Runtime appeared in BBW on Feb 10.

It's not quite that straightforward. Those who relied on carrier updates weren't quite as fortunate. The ART debacle dragged on for much longer than one month. And who could argue BlackBerry's timing with that 'update' was not absolutely impeccable? Lol.

They didn't announce that there were problems - they announced that some users reported problems when updating. Those are two very different things.

Nor does it change my experience on all of my devices. I simply reported that.

I personally believe that most of the reported issues with 10.3.3.2205 are more related to the update process as opposed to the OS itself. Which is why a clean install solves most people's problems.

I agree. I never had any problems with any bb10 system updates on my Z30, Passport SE and Passport OG.

They all are fine with the latest updates but I couldn't care less for android runtime. I wouldn't touch an android app if I can avoid it.

And yet AT&T has been releasing this OS (2205) to their carrier phones over the past couple of weeks, mostly without issues - even to their Passports.

Not sure if it has to do with the update but my Z30 has been brutally slow since around the update time frame. I didn't really associate it to that but now that I think of it

I am sure you recall at the time this caused a lot of grief for a lot of people on these forums. It was not a simple one month fix applied by autoloader for most people. Most had no idea why they were suddenly unable to uninstall Android apps on BB10. It certainly didn't make sense why the update had been released in the first place, other than perhaps partially cripple the use of Android apps, Cobalt Playstore etc. that had gained a lot traction (at least in the humble sense of the limited BB10 community) by the time BlackBerry Android / PRIV was released.

Well, I'm not so sure I would call it dumb to make a system non- operational if your ultimate goal is to get the masses to transition to your new platform. Some may call that genius, or at least, a good plan.
