EDIT: I meant to say "Storm Line" in the poll because both devices are pretty much the same.

Not from an objective standpoint -what's your personal opinion? I've also listed a "worst failure" thread.

    - Curve 83XX -- lasted for a very long time, set the standard for the newer generation of BB's a few years back ,very reliable.

    - Original Bold 9000 -- First in its series, people loved the form factor and bigger screen

    - BB Storm 9530/9550 -- Despite flaws sold very very well

    - New Curve 85XX -- Significant upgrade to original curve with OS 5, trackpad, and WiFi (unlocked GPS?)

    - New Bold 9560/9700 - Best battery life of any BB, tons of memory

I don't know if its fair to include the 9650 and the 9700 together as one. There are some pretty big differences in terms of size, keyboard, battery life, etc.

You may be right. I just never liked polls with 1500 choices Also I'm sure some people will pick other devices, like the Tour, but I figured these might be the more popular choices.

Probably Curve 83xx in terms of sales numbers.

9700 would be good if it wasn't GSM

From a personal standpoint, the Bold 9000

Perfect size for me, and the easiest and most comfortable typing qwerty keyboard
I've ever had on a Blackberry.

I voted for the original Curve 83xx. Those things were released like two years ago and I still see a ton of them around.

I would have to say the 83xx. The 8300 was my first BlackBerry, and I went directly from that to the 9700, which is arguably RIM's best product to date. My son is currently using my 8300, which is on its second battery and 4th trackball, and still kicking *** after 3 solid years of heavy usage. I have my wife's functional 8300 (with a defunct trackball clicker switch) and a friend's water-damaged/dead 8310 sitting on a shelf for spare body parts.

The Pearl stirred the consumer market waters for RIM and field-tested the trackball's performance and acceptability, but the 83xx crashed the smartphone scene like the Kool-Aid Man. Most of the BlackBerries I see on the streets are 83xx, still.

^ you got that right Maestro

Given the lack of the Pearl 81xx series I voted for the 83xx series.

Oh, I fixed the Storm line

I voted for the Bold 9000, mainly because that was the major shift into the current style of BB, but it could also go with the 83xx...

I am going with the 83xx series, tons sold and a pretty solid dsevice. The 9700 is one of their best recent devices though and has no major problems and lots of features.

I recall reading that the 8330, or at least something in the 83xx series, was the best-selling smartphone for either Q3 or Q4 last year, haven't really payed attention to numbers this year :/

It was the entire 83xx series with no particular distinction.

I would say the 83xx series. It's still the best selling smartphone/blackberry to date. It was just a overall good device.

8900 although it lacks 3G, it had the perfect form factor and the high res screen and 256MB of mem (basically a 9700 with trackball, slightly slower cpu and without 3G).
