    Hi everyone,

I'm using a data plan that can ONLY use bbm and email for my bold 9000. However, I turned my radio off, turned wifi on and tried to login the msn messenger that blackberry gave me and it works. Is it count as a extra data usage since I don't have that function included in my plan? And will my network provider charge me extra money while I'm using bb msn on wifi but radio off?

    Thanks for answering

It should not cost extra. As a general rule anything done over wifi does not use plan data. Cellular Radio should not be a factor.

There are some apps like FaceBook and Twitter that are not WiFi friendly, but if your radio is off and you're on wifi it will be using wifi data.

Call your carriers and check on your bis plan, a lot of the bbm/email plans support social networking apps. This will just clear the air on what you can and can't do om your BIS.
