    do apps use less data then web version ie:the score ,tsn etc..

    probably. The apps generally have downloaded interfaces, where the web version you are downloading the images along with data. Of course it depends what sites you are visiting. stuff like facebook, i think the app would use less than accessing it through the web version

    Yes. The app has an interface that is pre loaded on your phone. Take for example the facebook mobile website vs. the facebook app. The website has to load all images as where the app has it on the phone and doesn't load it from the web but from the phone's memory.

    I agree with dale, and noonzie, apps only request specific data compared to loading full interfaces ike websites.

    Also apps are less graphis intense and more text based.
