Read more carefully; Federov doesn't say he believed it to be impossible, but instead suggests that others believe it. Now, maybe there are credible individuals/agencies that believe such a thing, or maybe he's just trying to magnify his company's otherwise dubious achievement. At any rate, I'm still curious as to the identities of the credible individuals or agencies who have gone on record to suggest this particular action was, in fact, "impossible." I'm guessing it hasn't happened, since it would be a foolish position to take.

I'm sure nobody will make the claim that anything is impossible to crack. It would be foolish to do so. That's why they always include a keyword like nearly with impossible. Here's an few example from a 30 sec google search.
