Can someone tell me the basic difference between the curve and the bold? I can't figure it out? I think I need a new BB and am not sure which one to get? Thanks!

There is a vast difference between the two, I have the 8310 and upgraded to the Bold. The track pad is a major improvement over the trackball, than there is 3G, and WIFI.
Tmobile curve 8520(newest curve),trackpad,wifi(ithink)-no 3g,clicky buttons lower rez screen then 9700
9700-big poppa of the blackberries 3g wifi, great screen nice quiet keyboard, more on board memory,Faster...go with the 9700-trust me
I chose the Bold because of 3G and the trackpad, I couldn't be happier.
If you have the money, get the Bold 9700.
It has Wifi, 3G, 3.2mp camera with autofocus(as opposed to 2mp no autofocus) and GPS. Oh yeah and an optical trackpad.
You really have to decide what features you NEED if you don't want to drop so much money into a bold 9700.
For example,
i Need GPS. I like the Autofocus camera for taking photos of documents and name cards. Wifi i don't really use (my carrier doesn't support UMA) I don't need the 3g...
Luckily my office GAVE me a bold 9700 that has all the features that i need and like.
so what features can you do without?
While the Bold has Wifi, 3G, some would say better keyboard, higher res screen, more memory, faster (debatable).. Some people may not need all of this and would go for the curve, which is smaller a sleeker. They both have basically the same BB options just packed differently. Good luck.
Which would you rather drive, a 2010 Corvette or a 1970 Chevy Silverado with ten tons of rust and a funky startup procedure? :p
MisterObvious, what I wish people would understand is that these 2 phones are really no different infact the only real thing that separates the two phones is that one has 3G the other does not. It really comes down to what you really need out of your phone.
