Hi Guys,

I am looking to upgrade my Pearl to either a Bold or a Curve 8900.

I am sorry if this has been asked a million times, but I have used the search feature and cannot find anything on the issue. Maybe I am just carp at searching.

So, which of the two is better, and why?

Go into your local store and try each one out. Then decide for yourself which one is better based on your needs.

Bold has WiFi, 8900 does not.
8900 has larger App Memory than Bold.

I prefer the better camera on the curve, but I love the screen on the bold. Are the curves buttons not too close together? Also, I know the curve doesn't have 3g, and I do find myself using the internet quite alot.

They also feel different in your hand. That was a major deciding factor for me picking my Curve over the Bold. It "fit" me better.

Quoted for truth. This is the biggest reason I keep getting a new curve each year....they just feel right to me.

Do you need 3G?

What exactly does 3G do? Is it just faster internet?

If so, then I guess not. As my Pearl isn't 3G and with Mini Opera I can view webpages just as one could do on the bold, and the speed of that isn't too bad.

If you use the internet a lot then you will want 3G. Put a 8900 and Bold side by side and try and render the same page, Bold will blow it away.

Well, the bold has Wifi and 3G... and the 8900 has only wifi... 8900 has better camera...
