I have a curve 8300. I noticed in the last month that I was getting a lot of interference and the phone would go dead on me. It would take a number of attempts before it would boot up. I went to the AT&T Service Center. They replaced the phone and the new one started doing the same thing when I left. So I went back (same day) and they replaced the battery and the sim card. I left...Same issue! So, I went back again (all in the same day) and they replaced the whole phone again. Guess what?????? Same thing! Is there a virus out there that effects these phones? I am thinking that either I have something wrong with me or the device has some sort of virus that keeps getting passed to new ones with my contacts and pics.
Is there anyone else that has had this issue and if so how did you reconcile it?
you mean take it out and put it back? That is the only way I can get it to work again. A lot of the time it will not reboot and it takes a couple of attempts

Like your ringtones are you transferring them to the phone or do you have a seperate memory card that you are putting in the blackberry with your ringtones on it?
What OS are you running, which apps, and how much file free do you have? Three phones later, it has to be something installed on the phone, not the phone itself.
are you sure you are getting new replacements every time....do you see them change the ESN? (it's a "trick" we played at radioshack a couple of times if we didn't have another in stock
I agree....but I am not sure what. I do not have any apps other than what came with the phone and some pictures. I should just delete the pics and see what happens
Well, actually it's AT&T so they wouldn't have to change the esn on the phone, just swap the sim card- but they should note the new pin/ serial # on a receipt or something.
