So my wife and I were at the mall yesterday and we came across the Passport at a Telus store.

While all the hype is huge, I wanted to hold one before buying it.

My wife was totally into getting one because I myself hyped it up considerably to her.

The place we are at now is that she feels it is a bit too big, so we have decided that I will get one first (no complaints here) and she will try mine out to decide if it's right for her.

I just wanted some input from the women out here as to what they thought or experienced from the Passport.

Some women like it big, some like it small. Some like medium sized. It's only natural.

You time lords are sooo naughty lol!
On topic with the popularity of phablets and a lot of female friends family who have them maybe not the size but rather the width could be a hindrance. Only time will tell though.

I am very interested to know what women think about the Passport. In his podcast Kevin talked about it not being a one-handed device and having trouble getting his thumb to the far side. Honestly, I imagine the Passport to be more as a replacement for my PlayBooks that can do more. I type semi-fast on them using two hands, the but the keyboard is way behind 10.3. I will definitely have to try one out in the store when I get a chance. There is also the fact that so far no FCC approval for CDMA, so I may have to leave Verizon. I will have to think hard about leaving my unlimited data plan. May wait for all touch.

Thanks, Mod, for keeping this thread on topic.

    LOL. Loaded question.

Well, I want it but I'm trying to force myself to wait for the white version. Initially I thought it was too big. My coats are fitted and I usually wear skinny jeans so my phone goes in my purse. The purse I had with me when I saw the Passport is about 1/2 the phones size too small. Then I went on ebay and saw some cute wrist wallets, so carrying the phone is not something that concerns me anymore.

In the end, after my initial reaction to the size of the phone, I realized it was probably ideal for my work. I spend 95% of my day with spreadsheets. Function trumps any awkwardness in this situation.

Women will always have a good reply to when people talk about their oversized phone: "sorry, but I like them Big, enjoy your small one"

I am a woman and have had my Passport for about 24 hours now. I really like it. I generally type with both thumbs and did so on my Q10 as well so aside from the keys being a little further apart, nothing has changed. Once I master all the keyboard tricks etc I know I'm going to love this baby!

It looks elegant and feels good in my hand. It does get lots of attention when I have it out.

It fits perfectly in the inside pocket of my purse where I have always kept my phones. (That's an important consideration from my perspective)

I don't think it would be too big for me. But I'm holding out for the Z50. The passport will be for my husband. I plan to play with it though.

It has 100% to do with personal preference and 0% to do with gender. I know women who use Samsung Galaxy Notes and I know men who think anything bigger than an iPhone 5/5s is too big.

I would say most women have an advantage in this scenario since they can carry purses most of the time. I know guys can also carry shoulder bags, briefcases and wear suit jackets, but... certainly not as regularly as women take along their purse.
