    It flashed "Help"?

Have you tried reloading the OS using apploader? Make sure device software is installed from your carrier. Try without the battery installed, you'll need to fly through the wizard so it stays locked on!

Also, have you dropped or subjected it to water or any liquid?

    no liquids here,

i was using the stock at&t os

then i saw this thread about how fast the jsl os can be
then tried to flash and then crushed....

i know that you can revive a nuked bb with the app loader
but the app loader does not recognize any connection .
    no COM 1
    COM 2 OR COM 3

    any suggestions ?

Keeping both hands on the wheel would probably have prevented this situation....

OP, as a final step try this.
    Start the AppLoader program.
Take the battery out of your BB and connect it to your PC.
If it can be recovered, the AppLoader will recognise the USB connection and show you your PIN.
Press next immediately. The AppLoader should be able to force connect now and will start the reload sequence.
Just pop the battery in again and sit tight. You should be OK.
    Hope this works for you.

but still no answer from my white bold 9000...

Doubt using windows OS on a Mac would have anything to do with it. You sure your battery didnt just die during the flash? How low was your battery? Im not sure if connecting a power deprived Blackberry to a computer via USB will be enough to start the phone up right away. Try plugging it into the wall charger for a good 10 minutes. I know my storm was so deprived of power once when I plugged it into the wall it showed no signs of life, no LED or nothing for a good 5 minutes. Hope this helps.

    @Danny,
I have recovered BB's which get stuck in the endless boot cycle by removing the battery.
Basically the Apploader connects for a very short time during the boot up cycle and you have to time it just right to get the apploader to take over the BB.
With the Battery out, you get enough time with apploader to connect and takeover the device.
As to the OP's query regarding Windows on Mac, I have the same thing with no issues. The only thing that I can think of is if there was some current leakage in the OP's USB port and that caused a hardware fault.
