Since those three are so aligned, why do we not see Security-related articles on CB about who got hacked/breached? Even if they are not directly related to Blackberry, CB is the security-focused out of the other Mobile Nations sites.

Because most of the media perpetuared data breaches are server related and not handset related.

Can't believe this security thing...honestly there is nothing to do with the handsets in this matter!

All our data and files are on the servers. Not individual phones getting hacked I think. And there is always a workaround to hack the safest securest thing on the planet! Just needs some time to do that.

So Obama and Clinton might as well drop their BlackBerrys and get an iPhone like John McCain? What about Home Depot dropping BlackBerry for iPhone throughout the Corporation, and then being struck with a massive data breach. Just coincidence?
BB, Still the One
One doesn't have anything to do with the other.
But it gave the perception that Home Depot does not care about security as BlackBerry has " the reputation"
BB, Still the One
I'm not sure that Crackberry users are interested in security articles. Of course, Bla1ze could always give it a try.
Originally, Windows Central was one of the smallest Mobile Nation sure and only covered Windows Phone. Now it covers everything Windows and is one of the largest.
I think the only thing they need is something called BlackBerry enterprise and that is not phone related. And that's available for every company I believe. We are in a world where everything and everyone is tracked somehow and the right people with the right equipment have all our datas. But some of them are behind safer 'walls' than the others..

This sums up my thought. Thank you!
No matter how much BB fans may value BB's security strengths, the outside world and even many corporations don't seem to care or believe in it. Also, most of the high profile news coming out on security breaches seem to relate to cloud servers or systems, not specific phone/OS brands. Until phone/OS brands become direct culprits in these high profile cases on an ongoing basis, I don't think the subject will be getting much attention or traction!
I don't think that when that happened that anyone drew any correlation between what phones Home Depot was using when that happened.
Very true, the issues are generally accessing user names and passwords through phishing attempts, which a mobile device doesn't do anything to mitigate. The second step is then trying to find a way to access the corporate network using those credentials, or using them to better target those users who have access to the data or systems the malicious actor is looking to access.
Once they are in the system, it's malware or other methods of obfuscation to hide their tracks and to begin pulling whatever data they can. SQL injection or exploiting unpatched software is the most popular method.
Mobile devices have played no role in any major breach. The real key is better network and system security, and a smarter user base that doesn't offer their information to just anyone via email or phone. A strong MDM and weak security practises are no better than a strong lock on the front door of a house while leaving all of the windows open.

I think the people commenting have taken this the wrong way. You guys are now discussing handsets, home depot, and conspiracy theories.
What I was simply suggesting is for Crackberry to talk more about what is happening in the security region. Blackberry isn't just about handsets anymore (right?), they're more than that now, and Security for them is at the top of the list. I don't see why Crackberry shouldn't dive deeper into this. Just because a breach isn't related to handsets doesn't mean we should be talking about it.
BB isn't in the business of securing POS systems or corporate databases, so why would that be discussed here? A company could have all BB10 phones and BES12, and it would make zero difference for this kind of exploit. It just isn't relevant here.
Dupe post
Why do you have to be so unpleasant to break the delusion that BlackBerry == Automatic Security (as if security could be automated)...

Blackberry is in the security business. It's pretty relevant to talk about security overall.
Crackberry, like all of the Mobile Nations sites, is focused on trends and news with BlackBerry and the overall mobile world. Trying to bring in talk of security issues that are entirely peripheral to that discussion isn't something that brings any value to the site, and does nothing but dilute what the site is about.
Furthermore, there are no security experts on staff that could add any true depth of coverage to issues beyond whatever has been reported in the general media. Let Crackberry stick with what it's best at instead of trying to bring in a 'feature creep' that offers no value to the community as a whole or fits into the mission of the Mobile Nations.
Maybe a great site like https://krebsonsecurity.com/ would be more of what you're looking for
