I have had mine on since I had BB and I turned it off just see how I would do without it; but its back on. The phone seems weird without it. Like someone said earlier seems like the phone isn't working! That's my 2 cents! Lol

Yeah, I turn that stupid thing off too. I can't speak for anyone else but the
last thing I need is to be annoyed by my phone. And that is precisely what the
blinking lights do. I know my phone is on and I know when it isn't, I don't need visual proof.

I keep mine off. I find it annoying. Also when the led us flashing I know there is a reason like a message.

BTW, LEDs don't use that much battery, theyre meant to conserve energy unlike conventional lighting sources.

I tried it out and after looking at it for like 15 seconds, it became very annoying and it'll never be on again. It's good for messages though.

BTW, when I get a message, the light will flash for a certain time period and then stop. Is there a way to keep it blinking until I check the new message?

I use it, the bold led is really bright but I've become used to it. It helps me find it at night in the dark.
