Was just curious if anyone uses the coverage indicator led ... I thought it looked cool strobing green but was wondering if leaving it on would drain the battery faster anything noticable.

Mine is shut off too. I don't mind it so much but others are always like...."did you know your phone is flashing??" LOL They also do it when I have a message and it's flashing red.
I leave mine on all the time. To me, the phone looks like its off when there's nothing indicating its on. It kind of makes the phone look like it has a 'pulse'.

I always left it on on my 8700 and Curves, but the LED on the Bold is so bright that I had to turn it off! I feel like something is missing without it on, but it was either turn it off or lose my sanity!
Turn mine off, only want things blinking to tell me there is something to pay attention to. I see enough stuff out of the corner of my eyes, don't need my phone adding to the mix. Spiders mostly the size of HUMMERS! Why must they move inside in the fall?
I think the concept of it is really cool, reminds me of my first Nextel phone that had the blinking indicator. It was the i90c.
But I don't want to do it only because it most likely drains the battery really good. I can just imagine with that flashing LED, battery will drain faster.
I only had the red message indicator on (because all those flashing lights are so annoying) until I realized that my Jawbone 2 bluetooth headset sucked the battery dry if I left it on for easy answering. So, I now keep the Jawbone off until the phone rings and I have the bluetooth led indicator turned on so it reminds me to shut the Jawbone off when I'm done with the call! Otherwise, I will always forget and then my battery dies within a half hour. *Poof*.
