The Micro SD Card in my phone has been corrupted and I need help with a recovery software to be able to remove all the data before I format it. Please help me. The files are extremely crucial. I have tried EaseUS and PhotoRec with no success but perhaps I was doing something wrong, I am willing to give anything a shot.
    Please help me,
    Cheers,
    Raman.

All of the apps out there essentially use the same techniques for data recovery, if you've tried a few to no avail then it's likely toast unless you want to fork over cash for forensics data recovery specialists to try and pull the data off and even then there is no guarantees. Well, aside from the one stating they'll take your money whether they retrieve the data or not.

Reading back in your history I think you are still using a traditional BlackBerry (not OS10). There's a Repair option for the SD card in the menus for most versions, but you need to tell us which OS version you are using so we can guide you to it.

I am not sure if I'm using the data recovery programs correctly though. I do not see the conventional options as I do on some YouTube videos which is what I think the problem is. I believe if I was to use Photorec correctly i would be able to retrieve the information as it is one of the most renowned products out there. I am not willing to give up just yet. ): if you could help me that would be unbelievable.

I corrupted my micro SD card once when I was using my 9900, took it out and used card reader to connect to my computer and my files were still there.
    Lucky I guess

If the repair tool in the BB menus has failed and attempting to read and recover in an external card reader (usb hosted on a computer) also fails, I think you have to consider the possibility that the SD card (hardware) is failing and may not be recoverable. The other problem is that you have already tried 2 different recovery tools which may have written over parts of the storage.

Unfortunately solid state memory doesn't work in quite the same way as a traditional rotating disk. Depending on the device it could write "next block" to a dynamically assigned random address (wear levelling) unlike a rotating disk which uses the next physical cluster in sequence. That simple difference makes forensic recovery very difficult, and correspondingly expensive because each cluster of data has to be found and reassembled manually.

I'd say just to format it now anyways. The data on it cannot be that important if it was the copy of the data.

I have successfully used a Windows program called PC Inspector File Recovery on my laptop to fix damaged / corrupted memory cards. Their web site is http://www.pcinspector.de

The app has automatic and manual options for recovery; however, the memory card may be beyond recovery given the amount of other attempts.

I don't quite think it is the hardware because the memory card is being recognized every time i connect it into the card reader. What I find very weird is that the size of the Micro SD Card shows up as much smaller as compared to the actual size of the card. In most programs it shows up as 20-30 MB when the card is actually 8GB! So I'm wondering what is up with that.

Also i've been trying to get the data back without actually formatting the card, do you think it would be more effective if I formatted the card and then tried to pull the data from it using one of the programs like Recuva or Photorec?
I really need the pictures from this Micro SD Card and this is a major major problem. I cannot afford to have this recovery done by professionals.

I really do appreciate your input though and I shall be looking forward to your answers. (:

If you format it, you can kiss it goodbye. I know that much.

If you're card is detected on your PC and isn't showing as entirely full, then maybe you could try the 'deep scan' option on Recuva. Good luck and resist the temptation to plug it into different devices (as I once did) as there's a good chance they'll overwrite it.

Ok, You need download : AppleXsoft SD Card recovery software, this is an professional SD card recovery software and easy to use. you can try it at first, then scan the SD card, if your files were scaned, then you need buy it, or you can't save the files.

If you are still trying to recover the data from the microSD card try the free of cost carver-recovery.

No need to be panicked! There are many apps available on internet to perform this task efficiently. I used Remo Recover and got back entire data from corrupted SD card.

No, because your files aren't corrupted, they're encrypted (and now undecryptable). You essentially "threw away" the ONLY key to your files when you manually upgraded the OS, so you might as well format that card and reuse it, because the old data is gone forever.

Sorry but short of contacting the NSA, GCHQ, CSEC, et. al. you cannot recover the data within your lifetime.

Tell them there is secret North Korean nuclear facility info or Iranian counter intelligence leaks on there, and you will have your data back in no time, thanks to the new Utah facilities.

    J/K

I usually use "dd" or "ddrescue" on Linux (PMAGIC live CD is great) and pull a RAW CLONECOPY of the data medium.

    sudo ddrescue -v -n -r5 /dev/sdcard /media/yourbackupharddisk/rescued_image.ddresc /media/yourbackupharddisk/sdcard-rescue.log

You need to replace the above placeholders in the paths with whatever is appropriate for you configuration.

I NEVER fix or recover anything on the original media, only on the clone copy image. Run a program called R-Studio. Costs some money, but it's probably one of the best ones out there.

I had a corrupted micro sd card on my phone. You can try software like Card Recovery and other softwares. I did that but if the card is really corrupted badly or if it affected the hardware, software may not work to retrieve data. In my case, the computer couldn't read the files on the micro sd card anymore. It occurred as strange illegible characters. I ultimately had to go to a data recovery company. I had hundreds of files on there. I discovered Recoverfab.com and sent the corrupted micro sd card there. All of the files were recovered very quickly. I liked that it was an individual, no a big company that did the service. I was so relieved and now I'm glad there's a reliable memory card recovery service I can go to in case this happens again.
