Content Store?
Hi, can anyone tell me what "Content Store" means and what files does it consist of?
A friend of mine has a Pearl and I know that Pearl's have limited memory. He was getting the forever hourglass so i checked his memory and it was at zero percent. I went to options--> status-->menu Key (left of the trackball)--> and selected "Database sizes" and I found that the "content store" had almost 10 megabytes of file memory used.
Does anyone know what the "content store" contains?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

The content store is the storage closet for the BlackBerry OS. It's used to hold miscellaneous parameters that aren't stored elsewhere. It also hold pictures that are in device memory. And it's used to hold temp files created during software installs. As a result, it tends to grow over time. You can reduce it using Desktop Manager, but never eliminate it completely. Wiping and reloading an OS also resets it.

Yes, JeffH is correct.
This thread has instructions on how to use DM in Windows to do it. I went from 1853.3K to 99.3 K. Got some much desired space back.
