So my aunt has a 8320 from T-Mobile, and she wants to be able to sync her contacts with her computer. (Vista) I recommended Google Sync, which is what I use, but she doesn't want to put her contacts online. (She's concerned about security, I don't know, I'm not sure why. I'm not going to try and convince her otherwise.) I'm going to have to help her set this up over the phone, so it should be relatively easy. She's decently tech savvy, but not the most tech savvy when it comes to BB's. Thanks.

The most straight forward way would be via USB cable

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Which version of DM is easiest to use? All of them are easy to use to me, but she is not as BB savvy as me. She has never even updated her BB OS.

Version 4.6 of DM is the most stable. Those who have had 4.7 report some issues about updates that might make your aunt ask more questions.

Set her up with 4.7 and show her how to back up and sync the contacts. It might not be a bad idea to type out instructions if she isn't too tech savvy.

I would install either DM 4.6 or 4.7 for your aunt. I have used both and both work the same. I have my sync setup so that as soon as I connect my BB to my computer it will start the sync process between my contacts, calendar events and notes. Doing it this way will be the simplest for her.

Thanks for all the answers! I might walk her through updating her OS while I'm at it. What's the most stable OS for the 8320?
