I couldn't help to immediately notice how conspicuous it is that XDA has created forums for small, still in development OS'S like Tizen, Sailfish, Firefox, Ubuntu Phone, and heck, even Bada.
Regardless of whether you like or dislike them, BlackBerry 10 OS is live to market, and they still have the 3rd place in global market share. There has to be some reason this doesn't recognition but even Bada does?
I can't help but feel this is deliberate.
I'm no developer but my guess would be that bb10 isn't as open (as its more secure for businesses etc) thus developers can't do as much with it.. but yes i agree its unfortunate they don't have a bb section
If it's rootable with enough pure demand (i.e none of us going over there to vote numerous times LOL), it'll get a spot.
I was checking that forum, I didn't see an apple one either.
Only Android, Windows and Linux-Like OS's More than an "omission" it seems more like a "policy" that sounds "only open OS's and Windows."
The important question here is, Do we care about a forum in XDA?
XDA creates forums based on interest and a couple of quite wide criteria - the main one being active developers - I guess at the moment it's not popular enough with members and there isn't a enough to do - if they root it, you will see a forum.
Why would they? The boot sector is locked and no one can crack it so what exactly would they do for BB's?

Biggest development community on the web, and one of the biggest (IMHO) reasons Android is where it is today. The site itself started as development site for Windows Mobile PDAs way back when.
XDA isn't the only smartphone/tablet developer forum out there, but it's one of the biggest. There are also other well-known ones like AndroidTablets.net, RootzWiki and the like. To be honest, if BB had a big indie/hobbyist developer community, I'm guessing they would have sprung up at Crackberry first. BB doesn't have the reputation for openness that Android, and the ye olde Windows Mobile OS did. Heck, my only experience of 'hacking' a BB was putting AT&T service books on to a Verizon BB Storm to get it to work on GSM bands. It was a total hassle and it didn't even work all that well :)
XDA won't set up a forum because BB10 and Playbooks can't really be rooted, which means there's not a whole lot of 'hacking' that can be done to the OS. All of those other platforms likely are able to get root on, thus having the ability to make changes to the OS or even replace pieces of the OS entirely. There's no point in XDA having a forum when BB10/Playbook are so locked down.
