I came home this evening to see that the Sprint Bold 9930 waiting for me. I can't wait to use it.

I am currently an AT&T customer. My understanding is that the Sprint account/phone is activated and I can start using the Sprint phone with temporary phone number that was provided. I would like to configure BIS, import messages, contacts, install apps and set the phone features before porting my mobile number from AT&T.

My questions: Would porting the number cause all the changes I done to the phone to go away? Should I wait to port number before configuring BIS, app installations, etc. on the new phone?

I doubt it would affect any configuration at all. Feel free to customize and then, make a backup with desktop manager in case it happens, if it happens.
