I have an end user with a Storm (maybe a Storm 2) that I would like to do a complete reset. The Wipe Handheld method seems to always leave a bunch of email account info in place. Is there a way to get it to factory clean?

Secondary is is that activation of BES doesn't seem to work well on this phone. Ive done about 10 Tour's with no issues. This Storm activates the BES fine but A) under Setup>Email it does not show the email account activated thru BES, and B) calendar entries made on device dont sync to Exchange (wireless sync grayed out in that accounts settings).

Hoping a complete wipe with new re-activation to BES will help. Again, the Tour's fire right up with no issues.

Get this utility http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/crackutil-85617/, use Wipe Device File System under Clearing settings - ADVANCED. You will then need to reinstall the device software (if this is an issue, contact your IT administration).

Wiping the handheld is doing it's job, but BIS still has the device PIN number assigned. The moment it reconnects, the pushed content is restored.

Have your user log on to BIS and remove the email accounts that are not needed. If that is not possible, have carrier customer support purge the PIN number from their account.
