so I went and bought the colored post it note things and used them.... followed all the instructions on the how to color your ball and it didnt work right. The color looked awesome, but the ball wouldnt roll right... like i could roll it up, but it wouldnt register... i tried for like 30 minutes and then said screw it and went ahead and dabbed the light with a blue sharpie! anyone know what i was doing wrong?

I could be wrong, but I think you were supposed to use clear tape and color the tape with the sharpie. Thats the way I have heard of it being done anyway.

yeah i do it alot, ur not supposed to actually color the led light, all u need is a very small piece of clear tape that you color with a sharpie or try some translucent paper. follow the directions in the above link. but if you already colored your LED light idk if you can put a tape on top of that.

For anyone about to recommend the "color pearl" program......

    Don't bother.

It only works for the 8100. The 8110, 8120, & 8130 don't have a multicolored LED so it can't work on those handsets.

Even on the 8100 it no longer works on OS 4.5. The developper say he needs to build a new version.
