    Hi i was wondering.

If i have an ATT blackberry and i claim insurance on it such as lost and stolen or water damage or anything of that sort.
Can they phone still be used on ATT's network with a different sim card? What about other networks if it is unlocked?

    Thanks.

So you want to make a claim then sell the old phone?
No wonder insurance premiums are high.

    Its just a general question.
I know how it works with other carriers and am just curious how it works on ATT's network.

    No Attitude needed.

    There's no attitude.
But to prevent fraud, I'd sure hope that AT&T blacklists the phone for reasons like this.

Wow. The things that people will talk about in an open forum.

If you report a device lost or stolen and do an insurance claim on it and then you or someone else KNOWINGLY uses that device on AT&T or any other network, that is insurance FRAUD.

    PERIOD.
