Currently on T-Mobile 9700 5.0.0.330....dumb question:
If I download one of the many OS versions available, what state is my phone in after the update? Meaning...will all of my icons and apps be intact just how I had them in .330? Or am I basically starting from scratch?
Icons are associated with the theme you are running. As long as the theme is compatible with the OS you install, there shouldn't be a problem with your icons. 3rd party apps will have to be backed up before you install the new OS and restored after it's installed. As long as you have good backups of your data and apps, you should be fine. Note that the apps backup is separate and distinct from the personal data backup.
