Can someone please tell me if I can change the color on the trackball for the Blackberry Curve 8310? I had a blackberry pearl before and was able to change it but I can't find anything on the 8310. Please let me know where I can get more information on getting the code for free. Thanks =)

No need for a poll. I can tell you that it is not possible to change the color of the trackball on the Curve. The Curve lacks the colored led's that the Pearl has. You would have to disassemble the Curve and color the led (not recommended) or place scotch tape over it and color the tape with a marker in order to change the trackball color.

Sorry, no ColorPearl application for any device except the 8100.

No colour change unless you go with JC's suggestions.

I have the Alltel 8830 and saw EMobile Color Pearl software in the Crackberry shop, it states it is compatible with the 8830. I have read contradicting posts when I did a search on coloring the trackball.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

Unless you want to take your curve apart, I would get a colored sharpie

Pearl 8100 is only one that can have color trackball.

On other devices, only LED status light color can be changed using e-Mobile Color application.

I wonder why they wouldnt put different colored led lights in all blackberrys its cool part of the pearl. I have a curve and i just colored some tape green and put it over the led light and it looks great.

Could you just buy a colored ball from the net for a few bucks? You could also get a colored retaining ring. I want a red track ball with a black ring. Think that would be a safe thing to do?

I have recently wondered the same thing and did a search and found that you can buy colored trackballs as replacements for the old transparent ones.
