It looks like a Blackberry Bold 9700/9780. Or maybe the new 9900, though I could be wrong as it's very hard to tell/see especially with the man being in front of the camera.
Here's the link to the video for those who are lazy to search for it :p

Bold no doubt, I see the girl behind her is using a Bold too. ;)
That's because the BB is hands down the leading enterprise smartphone in the world, and will be for a long long long long time.
I agree with this, but there's so much conflicing reports that major companies and even gov't are "switching" to Apple or Android... lol I know all about security and Android and I wouldn't put those two together in the same sentence, and security isn't Apple's strong point either.
I was surprised to see them giving her a blackberry I thought people don't use bbs anymore only us crackberrians

Why would you think that?
Don't think it was a Blackberry at all, they use the Sectera Edge.
Staffers wouldn't be getting Secteras.
How do you know that was a staffer.
Looks like it was the phone in this thread. ;)
A video that shows a top-secret CIA operative would not be released to the general public, since revealing his/her identity would jeopardize the mission.
Staffers identities are not top-secret and classified.
Bold is flagship. I <3 my Bold !
Looked like a 9700 to me. It's hard to tell, but if you look closely the metal band around the device is bright silver, unlike the 9780 which was a glossy black.
It's well publicized that BlackBerry is the choice device for the US Government. The Sectera was brought up when talks about needing additional security for Pres Obama's mobile device was in the news. I could've sworn I've seen pics of him using a BB during his presidency. Plus, the Sectera is a monster of a device, wouldn't be mistaken for a BB.
So long as blackberry is leading in security it will be used by government.

None of the people in the video are division chiefs within State. Hillary is the only high level person there. Every one else is staff.
A Sectera Edge is unmistakable.

Thanks for the link Qb, the Edge does look kinda cool, rocks a stylus, and can take a beating to boot. It would be the ideal communications device for that tree guy on the go, especially one like myself, as I have many a dark arbor related secret communique that should never see the light of day.
Can't be too careful these days.
Looked like as if a bold. I might be wrong though.....

I agree. The device was clearly a BlackBerry and the "staffer" is none other than Huma Abedin.
Yup....highly visible, but no Cabinet level nor Undersecretary at State.
It would probably be a 9000, 9700, or 9800. I don't think any of the OS7 devices are FIPS approved yet, and I don't think the 9780 is approved yet either. Pretty sure they are very strict on using only approved devices, but the higher up the food chain you go the easier it is to justify a waiver.
On the installation I work at, the phone of choice seems to be the 9700 for senior management.
I believe it was the 9900, if you pause it at 0:05 you can see the metal band around the phone she was given
