    Soory for this message! But i want to ask your help concerning curve 8520!! I connected it to WIFI at home but i cant use it!!! WHY??!! I dont want to use any of BIS services i want just to use wifi at my home!

    It is always Grey the indicator and in setup -setup wifi i follow the scan i got the wifi i am adding the wep and push the connect but FAILED to obtain an IP address

    You typed incorrect key or there are some incompatibility between access point and BB.

    Nope it is a rught WEP key because my laptop is working fine with it!!! What it can be? why no wifi? I got a router from PHILIPS!!! here is some settings:
    WEP Mode 64-bit
    Key Entry Method Hex
    Key Provisioning Static

    Static WEP Key Setting
    10/26 hex digits for 64-WEP/128-WEP

    Default Key ID 1

    and etc

    So, the BB is indeed connected to the AP*. Interesting ... is your BIS plan including browsing/facebook?

    *assuming 00-26-FF-49-E4-A5 is your BB MAC.

    Yes it is connected! but why it is still Grey in BB! i dont have any BIS plans my phone was LOCK FREE!!!!

    If you don't have any BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) plan or data plan then the wifi icon will never become solid white. That's normal.

    You can but not all application can be used with wifi. Browser is good to go without BIS, but beside that I don't think there's 1st party application that can use wifi.
