I was wondering if you could use BBM to txt other people even those without blackberrys to send txt, without a txt plan from your provider. I know BBM uses BlackBerrys servers to send messages using the data plan to other blackberry users, but i wonder i you can use your blackberry to send those same kinds of messages to other phone users?
No you can't. BBM sends messages through the Berry servers from device to device by using PIN's. Your PIN will result in a IP address similar to a PC on the Net, except on Berry servers. So it basically ends being a conversation between 2 computers really.
